A few years ago, when I was living in Tennessee, a doctor told me about a magnificent retirement community in Williamsburg. My niece who lives in Williamsburg visited it and was very impressed. That is how I came to live at Patriots Colony.
At my previous retirement community, everything was in one room. Not so at Patriots Colony. I have a separate living room and space for the many books and keepsakes I have accumulated during my 44 years as a teacher. I have been here a number of years, and I've loved it since my very first day.
I enjoy the variety of social, physical and spiritual activities that Patriots Colony offers. Some stimulate my mind, others lift my spirits and then I get to stay active physically too. I have many friends here and options for social activities. I have lots of room throughout the community to walk and enjoy lovely common areas like the living rooms, dining rooms and libraries. And I can get out into the larger Williamsburg community, too. My guests like visiting me and agree this is just the right place to call home. While I can enjoy plenty of privacy when I want it, I am surrounded with good neighbors and a staff of the most caring people.
